well before we dived into house hunting (yes i'm still in denial) we went on a family vacation with my mom and sister...a first. growing up we didn't travel much as a family so it was fun to have this experience. we decided to take a cruise to alaska, the inner passage. mike was the only one who had been a cruise so again another first for us.
attached i have my pictures from the trip....warning there are a lot but so pretty!
highlights & moments from the trip:
* seeing a pod of whales bubble-feeding (which is a rare sighting)
* the food and service was really good (i had cold berry soup and lots of fish) holland america was a good cruise choice
* dancing to disco music with my mom and sister (even though her foot was injured)
* victoria island is so beautiful...
* mike received a hot stone massage which he loved
* not a highlight but it was an experience getting used to the rocking
overall it was a good trip...not sure most of us would sign up for another cruise but hopefully another family vacation.
